Iran, Armenia to enhance mutual investment projects

November 19, IFIF public relation- Governor of Iran's Customs House Masoud Karbasyan said that the agreement signed by Iran and the head of Armenian State Revenue Committee on customs affairs would serve to expand bilateral ties between two countries.
He said that promoting investment is a priority of Iran and Armenia.
Armenia as a member of Economic Union of Eurosia (including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, with a total population of 180 million) has a crucial role in linking Iran with the Union.
Karbasyan also appreciated Armenian government`s effort in the talks between two countries.
Armenian official called for paving the way of economic cooperation and referred to the importance of establishing free trade zone.
Facilitating customs regulations will boost economic cooperation, he added.
In 2013, Iran`s export to Armenia stood at 198 million dollars and the worth of imports was 95 million dollars.
